57's ON A CHIMNEY FIRE

1/31/2006: The 56's & 57's were sent to the 11700 block of Carolina Trace Rd for report of a chimney fire. Engine 57 on scene with fire showing from the exterior of the chimney. No fire reported on the inside of the large 2 and 1/2 story home. Crews immediately laddered the building and started opening up the chimney. Due to the size of the home and being located down a long private drive in a non-hydrant area, command (A/C Hursong) requested a 2nd alarm and a special call for water tankers. No injuries reported.
